"Auld Lang Syne" (Scots pronunciation: [ˈɔːl(d) lɑŋˈsəin]: note "s" rather than "z")[is a Scots poem written by Robert Burns in 1788 and set to the tune of a traditional folk song. It is well known in many countries, especially in the English-speaking world, its traditional use being to bid farewell to the old year at the stroke of midnight. By extension, it is also sung at funerals, graduations, and as a farewell or ending to other occasions. The international Scouting movement, in many countries, uses it to close jamborees and other functions.
Auld Lang Syne – popularna szkocka pieśń ludowa, do której tekst w 1788 napisał Robert Burns. Jest tradycyjnie śpiewana podczas Hogmanay (szkocki odpowiednik Sylwestra) oraz podczas Sylwestra w krajach anglosaskich.
Należy do najpopularniejszych i najczęściej wykonywanych pieśni na świecie. Stanowi jedno z głównych dóbr eksportowych kultury szkockiej.

Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated on various dates in the United States, Canada, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia. It began as a day of giving thanks and sacrifice for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Similarly named festival holidays occur in Germany and Japan. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States, and around the same part of the year in other places. Although Thanksgiving has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, it has long been celebrated as a secular holiday as well.

Last school year we collected food and other necessary things for the cats and dogs from the animal shelters Azyl and Kociarnia in Cieszyn.
From 21st October till 4th November we are helping animals from the shelter Reksio in Bielsko-Biała.
